14 Fun Things To Do In Searcy Arkansas

Introduction

Searcy, Arkansas is a quaint city in the heart of the Ozarks. It’s home to many historic sites and beautiful natural wonders that make it a great place to visit any time of year. The city also offers plenty of entertainment options for both adults and kids alike. From museums to restaurants and more, here are some of my favorite things to do in Searcy:

St. Paul’s Episcopal Church

A must-visit for any history buff and religious visitor, St. Paul’s Episcopal Church is a great place to start your day in Searcy. Located at the corner of Pecan Street and Mount Olive Road, the church offers a warm welcome from its members and plenty of information about the church’s history and services.

The first service held at St. Paul’s was on January 2nd, 1824—less than two years after Arkansas became a state! The building itself was built in 1887 thanks to donations from parishioners who loved the church so much they wanted it preserved for future generations—and indeed it has been preserved through many different eras since then!

Today, St. Paul’s remains open every Sunday morning with worship services starting at 11 am (followed by the coffee hour).

Wildwood Park

What to expect when you visit: The park has a small pond and walking trails. There are benches for resting along your journey through the park. There is also a playground for children to play on if they get tired of walking around.

When to go: Anytime from October 1st-April 30th; if you want to be sure that everything is open, plan on going during these months so that you don’t miss out! If it’s hot outside or raining heavily then make sure not to go because there won’t be much fun in trying to enjoy yourself when conditions aren’t ideal (especially if this isn’t something new).

When visiting during summer months try bringing plenty of water with us because we’ll need something cool down our throats while enjoying ourselves at this place since temperatures here tend to rise pretty quickly when exposed directly to sunlight all day long (especially near noon). Also, try avoiding going during holidays such as Thanksgiving weekend because this tends to bring lots more traffic into town which means fewer parking spaces available – especially since everyone else wants their piece of the pie too!

White County Historical Society Museum

The White County Historical Society Museum is a fascinating look into the past. It’s located at 609 N. Main Street in Searcy, Arkansas, and is open Monday through Saturday from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm. The museum has something for everyone to enjoy, including exhibits on different aspects of local history along with a genealogy research center that you can use to search for your family tree.

There are also artifacts relating specifically to Searcy and its history as well as antique furniture that gives visitors an idea of what people living in this area used for everyday life hundreds of years ago.

Searcy Art Gallery

The Searcy Art Gallery is a great place to find art from local artists, in addition to work from some of Arkansas’ most prominent painters. The gallery has been around since the early ’60s, and it’s the oldest private fine arts institution in the state.
